The RD50 Collaboration “Radiation hard semiconductor devices for high luminosity colliders” was formed in 2001 in view of the first luminosity upgrade scenarios for the LHC. Michael Moll discusses some of the RD50's highlights and achievements.

Searching for rare kaon decays

The RICH detector of the NA62 experiment

The NA62 experiment is focusing on precision tests of the Standard Model by studying the rare decays of charged kaons. RICH will be used to identify daughter pions from muons and electrons in an efficient and non-destructive way.
