A workshop on Higgs Field Effective Theories (HEFT2013) was held earlier this month in the Theory Division. The aim of the workshop was to gather experts, working in different institutes around the world, to discuss the current state of the art in Effective Field Theory approaches to the Higgs sectors.

The workshop was well-attened with more than 80 participants traveling to CERN.  HEFT2013 opened space for discussion between theorists and experimentalists who are currently working in the field. Over three days (09-11 October) a rich programme of talks presented an overview of the field and staged possible directions for further research.
