My name is Maria Laura Pérez Lara and I come from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. It was such a pleasure for me to be able to live this summer student program experience and learn so much, not only about physics and detectors, but about people around the world that now mean so much to me. I worked with the Medipix collaboration performing an alternative energy calibration method for one of their detectors (Timepix3), and in my spare time I traveled to a lot of places both inside and outside Switzerland.

It was a mindblowing experience and I had the time of my life.
