CERN Accelerating science

Rowina Caspary

My name is Rowina Caspary and I am a physics student from Germany. I did my Bachelor in Hamburg, then spent a year in Krakow and am now in Heidelberg. The CERN summer school is a wonderful experience that I will certainly never forget. I worked on a project doing analysis on real data in the LHCb group which was a lot of fun and I learned much.

But the best part of the summer school was meeting all the people from so many different countries all over the world, talking with them, playing games, traveling, hiking, swimming and exchanging knowledge and experience. I learned quite a lot in these very interesting adventures together. The most fun experiences were the hikes up on Le Reculet and Le Saleve, swimming in the Rhone river and in Lake Geneva and going up Mont Blanc by cable car.
