My name is Gamal Talal Amer and this is my brief experience of CERN. I am extremely happy that I got the opportunity to be part of this amazing programme. I had the chance to join and deal with CERN research teams and to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. I was glad to be part of the CMS group and particularly working with RPC detectors. Diversity and cooperation are two of many things that I have really admired in CERN. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed attending the lectures that were delivered by experts and scientists from around the world who shared their knowledge about a wide range of topics in the fields of theoretical and experimental particle physics and engineering.

Overall, the Summer Student Programme at CERN was a huge learning experience for me that has made me feel enriched and motivated to continue and do my best in my studies and I am really looking forward to visiting and working at CERN again one day in the future.
