How did you decide to apply for the summer student programme?

I was looking for an internship and heard by chance about the summer student program. It sounded great thus I decided to apply.

What is your previous background? 

I just finished my undergraduate studies in physics at the University of Freiburg. From next term onwards I am going to be graduate student at the same university.

Is your experience so far close to what you were expecting?

I would really like to continue working at CERN. It is such an amazing place.

Did you have time to visit other places outside CERN? 

I visited the nearby area (with my race bike) and the Mont Blanc massif. The trip to Mont Blanc was exciting and the feeling up there indescribable.
One nice thing one should not miss is the view from the Salève which is undeniably worth the climb.

From my time as a summer student at CERN I will certainly remember...
