I am working as a research assistant at the Egyptian center of Theoretical physics. My supervisor in Egypt is the team leader of an associate member group in ALICE. We are very interested to enhance our group by a new trained people to work with ALICE collaboration, and I am personally interested in QGP properties so they supported me to apply.  

I decided to apply after the Higgs discovery last year, I was interested to see by my self how this discovery and others done. I discussed with one of my colleagues who was here in 2012, only to got more informations about the program and the life at cern. 

I working in ALICE collaboration. My project is about jet reconstruction. I learned ROOT, generation of events using Pythia and to do jet reconstruction using fastjet package. I hope that I could get back at CERN and work for my PhD. Actually After 4 weeks of my stay here I could say that CERN is the ideal place for doing research and I would be more than happy to work here for a longer time.

When I finish my project I hope that I will get some time to see the nearby area in France and Switzerland. I will remember the real cooperation and assistance between the people working here. There are many other things that I will remember but this was my first and strongest impression.
