My stay at CERN was fantastic. I learnt about it through my institute and my supervisor in Pakistan. I am a physicist and I am working here under the supervision of Peiluigi Paolucci. My project title is "RPC chamber construction, commissioning of CERN RE4 RPC detectors and analysis of the cosmic data". One problem that I faced was that most of my work was hardware based while my bakground was more software oriented. 

It would be great if I find a chance to do my PhD research work at CERN because environment was perfect for doing good work. I enjoyed CERN summer as it is mostly very hot in Pakistan these days :) we visited most of the cities of Switzerland on weekends and it was great to see the beauty of Switzerland. I will always remember this summer.  I guess I will miss all my friends and colleagues and the research environment the most.

I am impressed by the CERN structure and organization. I think that this summer is the best  of my life as I utilized much of my time in constructive activities. I did my studies plus the visits so I enjoyed in all possible ways what the programme is offering to young students.

Finally, I think that one of my best experiences was my visit to the CMS control room. I spend one night there working with the detector performance as you can see in the above picture.
